{"id":131719,"date":"2022-02-22T21:25:05","date_gmt":"2022-02-22T20:25:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/testweb.pid.cz\/en-slevy-a-jizdne-zdarma-discounts\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T15:01:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T14:01:10","slug":"discounts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pid.cz\/en\/discounts\/","title":{"rendered":"Discounts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>Valid as of 1.4.2023<\/em><span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Prague Integrated Transport system (PID) offers fare discounts for the following categories of passengers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#child\">Children up to 6 years<\/a> &#8211; free of charge<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#child-6\">Children from 6 to 10 years<\/a> &#8211; in Prague free of charge, in Region with 50% discount<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#child-10\">Children from 10 to 15 years<\/a> &#8211; in Prague free of charge, in Region with 50% discount<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#junior\">Juniors from 15 to 18 years<\/a> &#8211; in Prague discounted season tickets, in Region 50% discount<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#student\">Students from 18 to 26 years<\/a> &#8211; in Prague discounted season tickets, in Region 50% discount<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#senior\">Seniors from 60 to 65 years<\/a> &#8211; in Prague discounted tickets<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#senior-65\">Seniors from 65 years<\/a> &#8211; in Prague free of charge, in Region with 50% discount<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#accompaniment\">Accompanying a child up to 3 years<\/a> &#8211; in Prague free of charge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Passengers must prove that they are eligible for the discount (details below). If passengers cannot prove eligibility, they must purchase a full-price ticket.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"child\">\n<h2>Child up to 6 years<\/h2>\n<h3>Free travel<\/h3>\n<p>Children <span class=\"with-note\" title=\"Until the day before 6th birthday\">under 6 years<\/span> of age travel in the entire PID system for free. Such child must be accompanied by a person older than 10 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"child-6\">\n<h2>Child from 6 to 10 years<\/h2>\n<h3>Prague \u2013 travel for free<\/h3>\n<p>Children from 6 <span class=\"with-note\" title=\"Until the day before 10th birthday\">to 10 years<\/span> of age travel in the area of Prague for free.<\/p>\n<h3>Region \u2013 50% discount<\/h3>\n<p>Children from 6 <span class=\"with-note\" title=\"Until the day before 10th birthday\">to 10 years<\/span> of age travel with a 50% discount in the entire PID area outside of Prague.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"child-10\">\n<h2>Child from 10 to 15 years<\/h2>\n<h3>Prague \u2013 travel for free<\/h3>\n<p>Children from 10 <span class=\"with-note\" title=\"Until the day before 15th birthday\">to 15 years<\/span> of age travel in the area of Prague for free, if they are able to <b>prove their age<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>In Prague<\/b> children can travel for free if they prove their eligibility (their age), namely:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A document that is issued by a legal entity and that contains the name, date of birth and a photo of the child (passport, ID, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>A chip card registered in the PID L\u00edta\u010dka system with an application proving the age<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"#pid-pass\">PID pass<\/a> for Child from 6 to 15 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>If a child cannot prove eligibility (age) by one of the above methods, they must purchase a full-price ticket.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Region \u2013 50% discount<\/h3>\n<p>Children from 10 <span class=\"with-note\" title=\"Until the day before 15th birthday\">to 15 years<\/span> of age travel with a 50% discount in the entire PID area outside of Prague. If in doubt, the ticket inspector\/driver may ask for a document proving the child\u2019s age.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"junior\">\n<h2>Junior from 15 to 18 years<\/h2>\n<h3>Prague \u2013 discounted season tickets<\/h3>\n<p>In Prague, discounted season tickets are provided to all passengers from 15 <span class=\"with-note\" title=\"Until the day of 18th birthday\">to 18 years<\/span> regardless of whether they are students or not. These passengers belong into the fare category \u201cJunior\u201d. <b>The discount is applicable only to season tickets, <span>there are no discounts for Juniors on short-term tickets<\/span>.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Region \u2013 50% discount<\/h3>\n<p>Juniors from 15 <span class=\"with-note\" title=\"Until the day before 18th birthday\">to 18 years<\/span> of age travel with a 50% discount in the entire PID area outside of Prague. Passenger can buy discounted tickets, if they are able to <b>prove their age appropriately<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A document that is issued by a legal entity and that contains the name, date of birth and a photo (passport, ID, ISIC, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>A chip card registered in the PID L\u00edta\u010dka system with an application proving the age<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"#pid-pass\">PID pass<\/a> for Juniors from 15 to 18 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>If a Junior cannot prove eligibility (age) by one of the above methods, they must purchase a full-price ticket.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"student\">\n<h2>Student from 18 to 26 years<\/h2>\n<h3>Prague \u2013 discounted season tickets<\/h3>\n<p>From 18 years of age all passengers pay full price of tickets. Students can acquire a discount on season tickets in Prague up to the age of 26, <strong>but only if they meet the following conditions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They are full-time students<\/li>\n<li>The entitlement is proven by a confirmation issued by the school (required every academic year) by the school or valid ISIC card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The discount is applicable only to season tickets, <span>there are no discounts for Students on short-term tickets<\/span>.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Region \u2013 50% discount<\/h3>\n<p>Students from 18 <span class=\"with-note\" title=\"Until the day before 26th birthday\">to 26 years<\/span> of age travel with a 50% discount in the entire PID area outside of Prague. <b>The discount can be used only by full-time students. Students must prove their eligibility by using a valid International Student Identity Card (ISIC).<\/b> Other passengers older then 18 years must buy full price tickets.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"senior\">\n<h2>Senior from 60 to 65 years<\/h2>\n<h3>Prague \u2013 discounted tickets<\/h3>\n<p>Passengers from 60 <span class=\"with-note\" title=\"Until the day before 65th birthday\">to 65 years<\/span> of age travel with a discount in the area of Prague, if they are able to <b>prove their age<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>National identity card issued by a European Union country<\/li>\n<li>Passport<\/li>\n<li>A chip card registered in the PID L\u00edta\u010dka system with an application proving the age<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"#pid-pass\">PID pass<\/a> for Seniors from 60 to 65 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>If a person cannot prove eligibility (age) by one of the above methods, they must purchase a full-price ticket.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Region \u2013 full price<\/h3>\n<p>There are no discounts for Seniors from 60 to 65 years in the Region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"senior-65\">\n<h2>Senior from 65 years<\/h2>\n<h3>Prague \u2013 travel for free<\/h3>\n<p>Seniors from 65 years of age travel in the area of Prague for free, if they are able to <b>prove their age<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>National identity card issued by a European Union country<\/li>\n<li>Passport<\/li>\n<li>A chip card registered in the PID L\u00edta\u010dka system with an application proving the age<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"#pid-pass\">PID pass<\/a> for Seniors from 65 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>If a senior cannot prove eligibility (age) by one of the above methods, they must purchase a full-price ticket.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Region \u2013 50% discount<\/h3>\n<p>Seniors from 65 years of age travel with a 50% discount in the entire PID area outside of Prague. Passenger must present a valid ID or passport that proves their age.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"accompaniment\">\n<h2>Accompanying a child up to 3 years<\/h2>\n<h3>Prague \u2013 travel for free<\/h3>\n<p>One person accompanying a child <span class=\"with-note\" title=\"Until the day before 3rd birthday\">under the age of 3<\/span> can travel around Prague for free<b>)<\/b>, if they are able to <b>prove the age of the child<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>National identity card of the Child issued by a European Union country<\/li>\n<li>Passport of the the Child<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"#pid-pass\">PID pass<\/a> for Child under 3 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>If an accompanying person cannot prove the child&#8217;s age by one of the above methods, they must purchase a full-price ticket.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Region \u2013 full price<\/h3>\n<p>There are no discounts for the accompanying person in the Region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"pid-pass\">\n<h2>PID Pass<\/h2>\n<p><strong>PID passes have a dual purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a seasonal ticket.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To prove the passenger&#8217;s age.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1627 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/pid.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/60-70.png\" alt=\"PID pass\" width=\"214\" height=\"138\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To receive a PID card, you need an official document (national identity card issued by a European Union country, passport or birth certificate etc.) and a photo measuring 3.5 x 4.5 cm (not older than one year). The pass can be purchased only at <a href=\"\/en\/contacts\/points-of-sale\/?filter=prukazkypid\">specified points of sale<\/a>.
