In the Prague Integrated Traffic system (PID) there are price discounts for particular categories of passengers.

Not valid on trains This option not valit on train.

Passengers must prove that they are eligible for the discount (details below).

 

Child under 6 years

Free travel

Children under 6 years of age travel in the entire PID system for free. Such child must be accompanied by a person older than 10 years.

 

Child from 6 to 10 years

Prague – free travel

Children from 6 to 10 years of age travel in the area of Prague for free. The claim is not proven (Not valid on trains).

Region – 50% discount

Children from 6 to 10 years of age travel for discounted tickets in the entire PID area outside Prague.

 

Child from 10 to 15 years

Prague – free travel

Children from 10 to 15 years of age can travel in Prague for free, if they are able to prove their age appropriately:

  1. A chip card with an appropriate application
  2. A PID pass for Child from 6 to 15 years
  3. Not valid on trains A document that is validated by a legal entity and that contains name, date of birth and a photo of the child (passport, ID, etc.)

Region – 50% discount

Children from 10 to 15 years of age travel for discounted tickets in the entire PID area outside Prague. If in doubt, the transit inspector may require a document that proves the child’s age.

 

Junior from 15 to 18 years

Prague – discounted season tickets

In Prague, discounted fare for season tickets is provided to all passengers from 15 to 18 years regardless of whether they are students or not. These passengers belong into the tariff category “Junior”. The discount is applicable only to season tickets, there are no discounts for Juniors on short-term tickets.

Region – 50% discount

Juniors from 15 to 18 years of age travel for discounted tickets in the entire PID area outside Prague. Passenger must present a valid ID or passport that proves his/her age.

 

Student from 18 to 26 years

Prague – discounted season tickets

From 18 years of age all passengers pay full price of tickets. Students can acquire a discount on season tickets in Prague up to the age of 26, but only if they meet the following conditions:

  • They study at a Czech school
  • They are full-time students
  • The entitlement is proven by a confirmation issued by the school (every academic year)

The discount is applicable only to season tickets, there are no discounts for students on short-term tickets.

Region – 50% discount

Students from 18 to 26 years of age travel for discounted tickets in the entire PID area outside Prague. Passenger must present a valid confirmation issued by the school (every academic year). The discount can be used only by full-time students. Other passengers from 18 years pay full price of tickets.

 

Senior from 60 to 65 years

Prague – discounted fare

Seniors from 60 to 65 years of age can travel in Prague for discounted (half-price) fare if they have one of the following passes:

  1. A chip card with an appropriate application
  2. A PID pass for Senior from 60 to 65 years.
  3. National identity card (only for European Union countries)
  4. Passport

No other documents are accepted to grant these discounts! Please note that the issue of a chip card or a PID pass is charged and one needs to provide his personal information and photo. Therefore, this offer is profitable only for longer stays in Prague. If this applies to you, visit our information centers for more information.

Senior from 65 years

Prague – special price 0 CZK

Seniors from 65 years of age can travel in Prague for free, if they have one of the following passes:

  1. A chip card with an appropriate application
  2. A PID pass for Senior from 65 to 70 years
  3. Not valid on trains National identity card (only for European Union countries)
  4. Not valid on trains Passport

No other documents are accepted to grant these discounts! Please note that the issue of a chip card or a PID pass is charged and one needs to provide his personal information and photo.
