In the Prague Integrated Traffic system (PID) there are price discounts for particular categories of passengers.
This option not valit on train.
Passengers must prove that they are eligible for the discount (details below).
Children under 6 years of age travel in the entire PID system for free. Such child must be accompanied by a person older than 10 years.
Children from 6 to 10 years of age travel in the area of Prague for free. The claim is not proven ().
Children from 6 to 10 years of age travel for discounted tickets in the entire PID area outside Prague.
Children from 10 to 15 years of age can travel in Prague for free, if they are able to prove their age appropriately:
Children from 10 to 15 years of age travel for discounted tickets in the entire PID area outside Prague. If in doubt, the transit inspector may require a document that proves the child’s age.
In Prague, discounted fare for season tickets is provided to all passengers from 15 to 18 years regardless of whether they are students or not. These passengers belong into the tariff category “Junior”. The discount is applicable only to season tickets, there are no discounts for Juniors on short-term tickets.
Juniors from 15 to 18 years of age travel for discounted tickets in the entire PID area outside Prague. Passenger must present a valid ID or passport that proves his/her age.
From 18 years of age all passengers pay full price of tickets. Students can acquire a discount on season tickets in Prague up to the age of 26, but only if they meet the following conditions:
The discount is applicable only to season tickets, there are no discounts for students on short-term tickets.
Students from 18 to 26 years of age travel for discounted tickets in the entire PID area outside Prague. Passenger must present a valid confirmation issued by the school (every academic year). The discount can be used only by full-time students. Other passengers from 18 years pay full price of tickets.
Seniors from 60 to 65 years of age can travel in Prague for discounted (half-price) fare if they have one of the following passes:
